Printing Press/ Roller
Repair
All printing rollers wear slightly
and some bearing areas wear out, but one of the most common problems we see are damages from foreign objects falling into
the presses. The other common problem is with water rollers. As in any industry, the chrome plating from the factory is just adequate to last a reasonable amount of
time before corrosion creeps under the chrome from each side until the roller is no longer operational.
How Arizona Hard
Chrome Can Help
Because
water rollers are required to have a high gloss finish so the water, (which is really an acid), will form a thin sheet over
the roller while it rotates, most press manufacturers use decorative chrome which does not have the corrosion resistance that
industrial hard chrome provides. We have perfected a polishing system that will
give our chrome a more than adequate high gloss finish, plus we chrome plate the entire roller to prevent corrosion from eating
away at the edges. This gives our customers a superior product at a fraction
of the cost and down time needed for a new factory part.
