Arizona Hard Chrome has been continuously operating since 1946, and
has been in the same location since 1955, and has been an Arizona corporation since 1958. We're family-owned and run, and
have been since the start. We have chosen to stay small, offering personalized service that is sometimes lacking in our larger
competitors. When you call you'll speak to us, not our voice mail.
Ron Trainor, the third-generation Owner/Manager, has been a machinist
for many years. His fabricating experience - gained working for years in auto-racing - is key to our ability to create some
of the most innovative plating racks and fixtures. Our creative and can-do perspective means we're willing to, and regularly
do, re-build parts other shops would not even attempt. We plate parts less than one square inch in size to as large as 12
feet long.
Ron learned the business from his father, Glenn Trainor, who owned
and operated the business from 1955. His vast experience has been one of our best resources. Ron's grandfather,
Bob Emmett, was a pioneer of hard chroming in the early 1940s, developing fixtures and plating methods for the military. He
helped to create and refine the processes we're still using today. And we're still innovating. Since we run a job-shop, we're
constantly revising our tools and methods. We evaluate our clients' needs, and can modify our fixtures and processes to provide
the best result.
Earl Harris, Co-owner/General Manager, is renowned in the Phoenix
area as a machinist. He's been the foreman at several large companies, owned his own business, and has been our assistant
manager since 1998. He works closely with clients from initial contact, through bidding and production, to follow-up and quality
control. Earl will assist you in determining the best solution to your plating needs.
In today's highly competitive business environment, it is more economically
and environmentally sound to re-use and recycle than to buy new and discard. It's a bonus that--since we can control the thickness
of the new chrome--our re-manufactured parts are more durable than a newly produced part. A double bonus is that it's
also less expensive.
We're small, with big abilities. We regularly surprise people with what we
can do. Call us to discuss your needs, we'll be happy to surprise you.
